Sarah Wharton Rhino 


Sarah Wharton Rhino is a native Atlantan and past competitive gymnast, collegiate cheerleader and director. She has a Masters degree from Georgia State University in College & Professional Sports Administration with her undergraduate degree in Recreation & Sports Management from Indiana University.  Sarah has coached gymnastics and cheerleading at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Georgia Tech, Pace Academy, The Lovett School and North Springs Charter School for the past 11 years.  She was a professional cheerleader for the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers from 2009-2011.  Sarah has managed and directed a gymnastics & cheerleading program, and coached for over 20 years in both Atlanta and St. Simons Island, Georgia and Bloomington, Indiana.


Sarah trained gymnastics through USAG Level 8 at GYMSET in Marietta, Georgia until she retired at the age of 18 and has since competed as an adult through AAU in the Platinum Division.  She cheered co-ed at the collegiate level at Indiana University, competed all-star cheerleading co-ed Level 5 at Pro Cheer All Stars and cheered 4 years at Riverwood International Charter School in Sandy Springs.  Sarah is a professional member of USA Gymnastics and has sat on the Southeast Regional Advisory Board for USASF.  She is credentialed through USASF Level 5 stunts, tumbling and tosses and was the Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Georgia Tech from 2014-2015 and 2003-2005.  Sarah has judged both nationally and internationally for NCA and UCA in varies cities in the U.S. including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, and internationally in Costa Rica.  

As an Owner, she hopes to inspire young athletes to reach their personal best physically, mentally and athletically. She believes in the total athlete mentality with the knowledge that each day in the gym is a journey and each coach leaves an impression in your child's life.  As a mentor and coach, Sarah believes that each child returns to the gym because of how she makes them feel and knows that your child will walk away with more than just athletic talent. 


Stephanie Hotle, General Manager @ Brookhaven

A native of North Mississippi, Coach Stephanie Hotle has been in the cheerleading industry for 20 years. Stephanie was the captain of her high school cheerleading squad followed by her experience as a collegiate cheerleader for Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Stephanie has over 17 years of coaching experience beginning at Lancaster's Training Center in Corinth, MS. At Lancaster’s, she helped coach her All-Star teams through a winning season including the National Championship in Orlando, FL in 2005.

Stephanie was the Class Director of Florence Tumble and Cheer prior to moving to Atlanta in 2013.  Stephanie coached and directed USASF Levels 1-3 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church.  Stephanie helped to bring new titles and a new vibe to The Pit with USASF All Stars Level’s 1-3 while serving as the Director of All Star Cheerleading for the last two years at our Collier Location!


In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys the film work that Atlanta offers where she has been featured in works such as AMC's The Walking Dead as a "walker" as well as body doubling for stars like Angelica Celaya (Constantine), Deanna Russo (Satisfaction), and Jennifer Anniston (Yellow Birds).  Stephanie enjoys a quiet life in suburbs of Peachtree Corners with her husband Tony and their dogs, Dolly and Candice.

Coach Latara, Assistant Director of Competitive Gymnastics
Latara grew up training Competitive Gymnastics in Snellville, Georgia before competing as a Division I Collegiate gymnast at Rutgers University. She fell in love with gymnastics at the early age of 6 with encouragement from her father to use her energy in the gym!
She won a State title on beam and vault her senior year of high school before becoming an integral part of Rutger's Gymnastics from 2006-2010. Latara was a four time Regional Qualifier and a National Qualifier her freshmen year.
She came to us at The Peach Pit after coaching for 6 years at Atlanta Gymnastics Center and has been a developmental part of our Competitive Gymnastics program! Outside of The Pit, Latara enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Coach Carmen, Competitive Gymnastics Coach & Preteam Development 
Carmen was a four time USAG Level 10 National Qualifier training out of Stone Mountain at Georgia Gymnastics Academy. She placed 1st All Around in 2002 USAG Level 9 among many accolades that won her a collegiate gymnastics scholarship to Auburn University.
Carmen obtained a BA in Psychology from Auburn and has experience and a love for preschool education. Carmen has been coaching competitive and recreational gymnastics for over 5 years coming to The Peach Pit from Atlanta Gymnastics Center in Decatur. Fun Fact: Carmen has a twin brother named Jeffrey!
Coach Colleen, Recreational Gymnastics

Coach Colleen shares a life long passion for gymnastics. She grew up an Elite Level gymnast training 6.5 hours day, 6 days a week, in Michigan. Colleen competed against the 1984 Olympic All Around gold medalist, Mary Lou Retton, amongst other standouts. She has been trained in all aspects of dance and competed in both a dance and cheerleading in high school.


She came to us from Cobb Gymnastics where she coached level 4, 5, and 6 gymnastics as well as choreographed routines for the competitive gymnasts. She has a Med Tech degree, and most recently managed the Law office of Perry Dean Ellis. She has two children, Rachel who graduated from Auburn University and Cody, a senior at Arizona State University! 

Coach Emily, Cheer, Recreational Gymnastics & Tumbling


​Born and raised in South Central Pennsylvania, Coach Emily has been cheering since she was 7 years old. Ms. Emily has been coaching basketball, football, and competitive cheerleading for 9 years. Emily was the captain of her high school cheerleading squad her junior and senior year, as well as the captain of her high school field hockey team her junior year. She was a basketball cheerleader for York College of Pennsylvania, and an All Star cheerleader for 4 years at Viper All Stars.

Emily was awarded with many honors from her field hockey, high school cheer, and All Star cheer teams including the sportsmanship award three times and the "go getter" award, 

Emily started gymnastics when she was 3 years old and continued taking classes until she was 18 years old. She trained at Skyline Gymnastics in York, Pennsylvania.

Emily has an Associates Degree in Digital Film and Video Production, in addition to a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications. She enjoys working on film sets in the Atlanta area in her spare time, and utilizes her degree to run the Peach Pit Brookhaven Instagram, Facebook, and assist with our website.

Coach Tom, Competitive Gymnastics 

Tom has been in the gymnastics industry for over 40 years and started coaching at age 16! He is a National USA Gymnastics certified judge as well as our Optional Team coach. Tom owned his own gym for 10 years in Bloomington, Indiana.​


He was one of three members on the TOPs National Team, as well as AAU National Bars, Beam, and All Around Champion. In addition to winning several USAG Regional Championships in level 8, 9, and 10. He also received a full ride scholarship to NCAA Division I Universities.


He was an Indiana University cheerleader for 3 years due to the gymnastics team being dissolved after his freshman year. Tom worked on the movie "Stick It" in 2006 as a technical supervisor to the judges as well as making his own cameo as a judge in the movie. See if you can spot him!

Coach Kamille, Preschool & Recreational Gymnastics
Coach Kamille was a gymnast for 11 years at Qwinnett Gymnastics Center and The Georgia Gymnastics Academy of Lawrenceville. She competed for 6 years and looked up to Nastia Liukin. Kammille graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Educational Psychology. Coach Kamille is currently completing her Masters Degree in Teaching for Elementary Education at Mercer University. 
Coach Mary Beth,Competitive Gymnastics & Preschool Gymnastics

Coach Elissa is a New Orleans native where she competed up to level 10 gymnastics at her high school, Ursuline Academy. In 2010 she became the Louisiana Beam State Champion. Elissa began competing gymnastics at the age of 6 and continued for many years.


She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Activity and Health with a minor in Sports Coaching, and was on the Track team. 


Elissa made level 7 Nationals, level 8 Regionals, level 9 Regionals, and level 10 Regionals. She also competed under the instruction of Hillary Herbert at Elmwood Gymnastics Academy. Coach Elissa is very knowledgeable of gymnastics as she was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and has been coaching for 7 years.

Miss Catalina, Preschool & Rec Gymnastics
Miss Cat is our preschool and recreational gymnastics coach that comes to us from Gwinnett Gymnastics Center and Top Notch as a gymnastics coach. She is a student at Holy Spirit as well a football cheerleader.
